On Friday, 1st May 2026, the Chief Executive Officer of the NAADA1 Foundation, Nana Dansoa Amamaah (Obuodwan Kyidomhemaa of Asamankese), made a significant intervention in education within the Lower West Akim Municipality by donating over 1,000 mathematical sets to Junior High School students preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The donation, which according to reports reached an impressive 1,200 mathematical sets, was distributed to students across 21 government schools in Asamankese and its surrounding communities. The gesture was aimed at equipping final-year students with the essential tools needed to excel in their upcoming examinations, many of whom come from homes where such educational resources are financially out of reach.
Addressing beneficiaries during the presentation, Nana Dansoa Amamaah reaffirmed her commitment to educational development, urging the students to take their studies seriously and make good use of the items. She emphasized that the NAADA1 Foundation believes no student should be left behind simply because they lack basic learning materials.
This is not the first time the foundation has undertaken such a project. In October 2022, Nana Dansoa Amamaah donated 868 mathematical sets to BECE candidates in the same municipality, and in 2025, the foundation marked its 5th anniversary with a similar outreach that benefited over 995 students. The 2026 edition, however, stands as the largest single distribution by the foundation to date, signaling its growing impact in the region.
The initiative has been widely praised by teachers, parents, and community leaders as a timely and necessary boost, coming just weeks before the BECE candidates sit for their final examinations. Many have called on other philanthropists and corporate bodies to emulate the gesture.
